PETER VISITING TLC ACTVITIES IN RWANDA
The Children’s Peace Libraries of Rwanda serve as inclusive spaces that welcome individuals and groups who share an interest in fostering peace, empathy, and understanding among young people in communities. Peter Clay from the USA visited the Transformational Leadership Center (TLC) activities from February 9-18, 2024. Peter was curious about the Libraries’ activities, and he started by helping children read books, Peter was impressed by how the Children’s Peace Libraries were providing kids with opportunities to learn, explore, and grow through promoting a culture for reading books and building peace. He also visited the TLC Farmers from Gicumbi to learn about how the organization is helping citizens of rural area in sustainable development through conservation agriculture and savings for life and loans. He also noted the important role that the TLC Farmers play in helping local communities thrive. Overall, Peter was happy by the work of the Children’s Peace Libraries and the TLC Farmers.
