In addition to programming directly for students, the Children’s Peace Education Network serves to increase community initiatives for peace education by providing consulting services to Rwandan schools, non-profit organizations, and churches. We have shared books with schools around Rwanda, in order to extend our reach to students who live in areas without nearby libraries.
Our library has a specific collection of manuals, guides, and curriculum made available to individuals and groups. We hope that by providing these materials and services, we will enable others to provide leadership services and trainings in the community, thereby extending the reach of our network and the number of children served. Our long-term vision includes an ultimate goal of adding peace education to the national Rwandan curriculum.
