The Transformational Leadership Center (TLC-Rwanda) joyfully joined the celebration of the International day of Rural women under the theme”Umugore n’uwagaciro”. honoring the vital role women play in advancing community development and sustainable agriculture.

During the celebration, TLC Rwanda supported rural women by providing 200 water filters and 90 goats to farmers from the Mutete and Kageyo sectors. These beneficiaries are part of TLC’s Farmer Field School (FFS) program, which empowers farmers to adopt and implement sustainable agricultural practices within their communities.

The goats will provide a valuable source of organic manure, enabling farmers to produce natural fertilizers that enhance soil fertility and increase crop yields. The water filters will ensure families have access to clean and safe drinking water, thereby promoting better health and hygiene.

Local government leaders commended TLC Rwanda for its contribution to community development in Gicumbi District through its initiatives in food security such as Conservation Agriculture (CA) and Village Savings and Loan (VSLAs) as well as other programs that improve livelihoods and strengthen resilience among rural families.

TLC Rwanda remains committed to its shared mission of promoting sustainable development, peace, and dignity within the community.
